"When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home."

New Lloyd Update!!!

Hey everyone! Here are some new photos I received from Lloyd.
He just rearranged his room during the weekend and it looks great!
Check it out!

lloyd's new room arrangement!

For a larger view, click on the photo and it'll take u to our church online album.
After torturing him for so long with our lovely dinner outing pictures,
Lloyd has enclosed a picture of a meal he whipped up himself.
Here's the email he sent last week:

Dear Church,

It's my turn to make ya'll
drool! It's a meal that I cooked for myself and my flatmates.

Lloyd's meal!

Menu:
Oven baked whole chicken leg (with special secret marinade)
French toast (with milk, sugar and maple syrup in the mix)
Corn nibblets
Baby carrots (all fresh and crunchy!)
A well healthy and well balanced meal! HA!

Ya... anyway, just help me tell the church that I'm enjoying
experimenting with cooking, and I'm eating well... not to mention the
$2 Ben and Jerry's ice cream that I had to top off today's dinner!
hahahaha!

COME AND GET SOME MATEYS!! : )

We had a great time for our youth cell at Pastor's home.
some photos of the big feast auntie Jane prepared for all of us.
Lyndsey, we welcome you to join us anytime!
We missed you too Serene!
Lloyd we ate the food on your behalf, don't worry.

Will upload the material we discussed for cell soon, as well as
excerpts of Pastor's message on 6th August.

First of all, Thanksgivings of the week:
  • Praise God, Auntie Teng had a safe return trip despite the hiccups on the way back.
  • It was a slippery week as Daniel, Shumin and Emmanuel all had falls but Thank God, it was nothing too serious.
  • Daniel's school timetable has worked out well for him.
  • Xiuxiu's lovely new home has been settled and the adults had their cellgroup meeting there on the 5th.
  • Xintian had a quick recovery despite feeling very ill on Friday, Praise God she was able to come to church and worship on Saturday.
  • Samuel's recovering from his flu.
  • Thank God as well, it seems Auntie Grace doesn't need to go to Moscow anymore!
It's been a good week but here are the specifics for certain prayer requests as well:

  • Many are not feeling too well, so pray for a strengthening of the body. Particularly Pastor, Steph, the JC students as well as Samuel.
  • Anisia requests prayer for wisdom to deal with a defiant student in her class.
  • Xiuxiu has two new tenants who are Filipino, pray that they will be able to get along fine.
  • Pray that Uncle Derrick will be able to overcome the language barrier for his business trips, particularly to Taiwan.
